The winter months are the perfect excuse to dabble in arts and crafts a little more than we normally would throughout the year. Since we’re staying inside to escape winter’s bitter chill, I thought it would be fun to create some cute winter drawings that will warm someone up this winter!

Candy canes are a great place to start! You can outline the candy cane and have your little one practice coloring inside the lines. If you don’t want to color, this also makes a great fine motor skills activity. Take a white pipe cleaner and string some clear and red beads (alternating colors in whatever pattern you choose) onto the pipe cleaner. Be sure to leave some room to bend the pipe cleaner. Ta-da! A simple craft that has inspired some more indoor fun!
2 Santa Hat
Another great staple of the winter season! You could even turn this into a homeschool lesson and talk about how different cultures approach Christmas.
3 Gingerbread Man or Gingerbread House
This would make a great drawing, but an even better treat!

Don’t forget to include all your reindeer! Consider learning the jingle that goes along with the reindeer. Whether or not you believe in Santa, it’s sure to put a smile on your face!
